Due to make their market launch in March 2018, BMW’s updated Sports Activity Tourer (SAT) vehicles, the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and Gran Tourer, offer ample space, impressive versatility, excellent comfort and dynamic driving qualities.

With over 380,000 first-generation units sold between 2014 and 2017, the Active Tourer and Gran Tourer are among BMW's bestsellers

Both models have received a number of enhancements, such as a taller and wider kidney grille and newly designed front and rear apron. Inside, both models benefit from a new instrument cluster in Black Panel technology and longer seat cushions for additional comfort.

The larger kidney grille gives both models notably greater presence

Customers can choose from the SE, Luxury, Sport and M Sport models, all of which offer a generous standard specification with a host of optional equipment for total customisation. These include the Harman Kardon 7.1 Surround Sound system, panoramic glass roof, wireless charging dock and an extensive selection of exterior paint colours and interior upholsteries.

The cloth/Sensatec combination blend seat covers, Anthracite upholstery and matching contrast stitching is exclusive to the Sport model

Space is key in these vehicles, which is why the Active Tourer offers up to 1,510 litres of variable luggage space, while the Gran Tourer offers up to 1,820 litres of variable luggage space. A third row of seats in the Gran Tourer also means that a group of seven can be accommodated on every adventure.

Luggage capacity varies in the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer, depending on the seating arrangement

There is an extensive line-up of three and four-cylinder engines to choose from, including a plug-in hybrid option for the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, as well as BMW xDrive all-wheel drive on some engine variants.

The BMW 2 Series iPerformance Active Tourer has a range of up to 25 miles in purely electric mode – without any local emissions
